Two festivals hosted by Fall River nonprofits will offer free entertainment for children and adults this weekend.
On Saturday, September 8, the Cambodian American Rescue Organization (CARO) Inc. hosts a Southeast Asian Cultural Festival from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Heritage State Park. Designed to spotlight Asian American customs, heritage, arts, and cuisines, the event will include live music, Khmer hip-hop performances, a cultural fashion show, and fun and games for children.
The 17th Annual Narrows Festival of the Arts takes place on Sunday, September 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Narrows Center for the Arts at 16 Anawan Street. Eight musical groups – among them The Iguanas, Neal and The Vipers, Matthew Stubbs and the Antiguas, and the John Stein Trio – will perform, and The Children’s Museum of Fall River will be on hand with activities for children.
