The Southcoast Artist Community, a new non-profit in the city, is holding a music festival fundraiser at the Liberal club on Sunday, June 5th. The event is called “Troy City Rising” and will open with a performance by The Portuguese Kids, followed by 30 bands playing different genres. The festival kicks off at 1:00 p.m. and ends at 11:00 p.m. According to the organization’s treasurer, City Councilor Richard Cabeceiras, artists who show talent and promise may also be awarded a scholarship for college expenses:
