Looking for something to do this weekend?  Here are three options for the evening of Saturday, August 18 – and they’re all free.

The Pink Panther. The Flint Neighborhood Association and the City of Fall River present the 2006 remake of this movie classic, starring Steve Martin, at Maplewood Park.  The movie starts at 6:00 p.m. and the popcorn is on the house.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Brown Box Theatre Project, an acclaimed theatre group based in Boston, performs Shakespeare’s popular comedy at Fall River Heritage State Park. Recommended for older kids and adults, the play takes place from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Louie Leeman and Cheap Sneakers. The Swansea band plays rock and roll, R&B, folk, and blues from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Fall River Historical Society on 451 Rock Street; the rain date is August 19. Wine, beer, cocktails, and refreshments will be available for purchase; no carry-in food or beverages permitted.

All three events will be held outdoors; bring your own lawn chair or blanket.
