Here is a list of events taking place at the Fall River Public Library this week.
From the Fall River Public Library
Here’s what’s going on at the library, this last week in April!
Take-home Children’s Craft: This week’s take-home craft is a spring tree craft. Kids can celebrate both Earth and Arbor Day by making this fun springtime tree that stands all on its own! This craft is available in the Children’s Room while supplies last.
Blackout Poetry: Stop by the library to create your own blackout poem for National Poetry Month. Blackout Poetry takes an existing text and blacks out words with a marker to create a poem from the words that are left. We invite adults, teens, and tweens to create unique poems, post them on Instagram using the hashtag #FRPLblackoutpoetry, and tag #fallriverpubliclibrary.
Royal Readers Club for kids meets on Monday, April 24 at 4 pm. This month’s book is George Washington Carver Loved Plants. Plus, we’ll have a fun STEAM activity for kids to enjoy! They’ll have the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math by building and designing their own mini-garden.
Preschool Storytime: Tuesday, April 25 at 11 am: children and families are invited to join us for stories, activities, and a craft.
Teen Anime Club: Teens 12-18 are invited to join us Tuesday, April 25 at 6 pm to watch some anime, discuss our favorite series and characters, and enjoy some Japanese-style snacks!
Teen Magic the Gathering: Teens 12-18 are invited to our weekly meetup on Wednesday, April 26 at 5 pm.
Copycat Kitchen: Saturday, April 29 at 10:30 am. Therapy Gardens presents a fun cooking program that will show you how to recreate your favorite brand name and restaurant foods at home. Not only is cooking at home better for your body, it’s also good for your wallet!
