Here is the latest from the Fall River Public Library:
Extended Hours, Curbside Crafts, and More at Fall River Public Library
What’s happening at the library this week? The big news is a return to evening hours. Starting Tuesday, September 22, the Fall River Public Library, 104 North Main Street, will be open until 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. The South Branch Library, 58 Arch Street, will resume their normal Wednesday hours, 11 am – 7 pm.
For health and safety reasons, occupancy limits still apply, so call the Main Library at 508-324-2700 or the South Branch at 508-324-2708 to schedule your half-hour visit. People may schedule up to two visits per day.
Curbside Crafts for kids are offered at both library branches. To celebrate the start of fall season, the craft for the week of September 21- 25 is Leafy the Hedgehog, a cute hedgehog covered in autumn leaves. Pick him up at the Main Library by calling 508-324-2700, ext. 4, or at the South Branch by calling 508-324-2708. The craft kits contain everything you need to make the craft, plus easy-to-follow instructions.
All this month, visitors to the Children’s Room at the Main Library can register for our Triple B Raffle! This special prize includes a stuffed bear, a sturdy wooden bench, and an assortment of books! Kids can register to win every time they visit the library. The winner will be announced on October 1st.
Children should also keep an eye out for Harold, the Library Elf! Harold will be hiding in a different place in the Children’s Room every day. If you spot him, win an instant prize!
For more information, call the Children’s Room at 508-324-2700, ext. 4.
