Fall River residents have until tomorrow, October 19th to register to vote in the November 8th Presidential Election.
According to Board of Elections Chairwoman Liz Camara, her 6th floor office at Government Center, Room 316, will be open until 8:00 p.m. tomorrow evening so people can sign up for last minute voter registration.
“I expect voter turnout to be higher than usual next month because of the presidential election,” Camara says. “In the primary election back in September I predicted about a 16% voter turnout, partially because many of the seats, including State Representatives, were unopposed. In the upcoming presidential election though, I expect about a 50% plus voter turnout.”
Residents who would like to register do not need official documents. All they need is their home address, and possibly the last four digits of their social security number,” Camara says.
