While the Fall River School Committee has had to make layoffs for the 2016-2017 Fiscal Year, some new hires have been made, including that of principal for Tansey Elementary school. Mr. Charles Audette began his tenure this summer. His background has been working for school systems in the Providence, Rhode Island System. As the New principal at Tansey, Audette spoke about one of his main goals:
