The City of Fall River has been notified that Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey has awarded $690 thousand dollars to the city’s Community Development Agency. The purpose, according to CDA Executive Director/CFO Mike Dion, is to have the funds administered to the Abandoned Housing Initiative Receivership Grant and Distressed Properies Identification and Revitalization Grant.
These two grants are for mitigating the impacts of the foreclosure crisis in Fall River, and throughout the state.
“Fall River is honored to continue the great working relationship we have with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office. The grant money initiatives will play a vital role in Fall River for theidentification and revitalization of abandoned foreclosed properties,” Dion says.
