Fall River fire officials reported a blaze at 683 Walnut Street last night, but had the fire under control within a half hour.
According to reports, the dispatch calls were reported shortly after 11 p.m. Dispatchers reported flames on the third floor of the residence.
Several engines responded, and the radio reports indicated that the fire was out by about 11:30 p.m. Crews requested a building inspector at the scene, and said there appeared to be no need to summon the chaplain or Red Cross.
There was no word on any injuries or the extent of damage to the structure.
