With spring upon us, Mass in Motion encourages Fall River residents of all ages to walk on the city’s newly renovated Quequechan River Rail Trail.
According to Mass in Motion Executive Director Julie Kelly, about ten residents gather at the Wordell Street Parking Lot every Tuesday at noon to walk together as a group. How much time, the walking pace, and how much distance is traveled is up to individual group members. Kelly says the purpose is to get some healthy exercise. Walkers are encouraged to wear sneakers, and comfortable clothing.
Note: The walk is cancelled in heavy snow and rain.
Mass in Motion is a non-profit agency that promotes health and wellness in the city. For more information about Mass in Motion, interested residents can visit the agency’s web page.
