With the end of the school year this week, parents are looking at options for their children this summer. Camps are allowed to open, with restrictions, in the face of COVID-19. One such camp is hosted by the Fall River YMCA.
Fall River YMCA Executive Director Stephanie Mancini says camps at all Southcoast Y locations will be open beginning June 29. She says the Fall River camp this year will look a little different and is already at capacity.
Mancini says despite the restrictions, the camp will still provide an enriching experience to children.
Mancini says the biggest challenge the camp will face is keeping children engaged while adhering to state safety regulations and answering parents’ concerns.
