Bristol Community College in Fall River held a Suicide Prevention event at its Elsbree Street Campus today, April 20th. Students who attended were given printed information that included how to get counseling services through the college’s counseling center, and what to do if they are feeling depressed, or suicidal. The venture was a collaboration with the Student Academic Affairs Office to ensure that students of all ages, and socioeconomic backgrounds are offered psychological help if needed.
Anyone thinking about suicide, or harming themselves, is urged to call the Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1 (800) 273-8255.
