The Southend Neighborhood Association in Fall River plans to hold its monthly meeting this Thursday. During the session, State Department of Environmental Protection officials will address resident safety concerns regarding the King Phillip Mills demolition project.
While the property is wrapped in ‘Asbestos Caution’ tape, South End Neighborhood President, State Representative Alan Silvia, assures residents the cancer-causing agent is not a public safety health concern.
He also stressed the upcoming meeting is not the first time the State DEP has gotten involved in the market-rate housing development project:
The February 6th Southend Neighborhood meeting will take place as usual at the Good Sheppard Parish Hall beginning at 6:30 pm. The public is welcome to attend.
