President Donald Trump has announced that trillions of dollars will be available for infrastructure construction work throughout the country. Here in Fall River, Administrator of Utilities Terry Sullivan wants a piece of that pie to help ease the financial burden to taxpayers as it relates to paying for the combined sewer overflow project. The infrastructure work has been ongoing for decades and is costly, coming with a $127 million dollar price tag.

At a meeting with the state delegation this week – initiated by State Representative Carole Fiola – Sullivan talked about the possibility of acquiring funding. He tells FRC Media news, since 1996 the the cost for water and sewer amounts for residents has increased 560 percent:
