At a ceremony yesterday afternoon at Government Center, Roger St. Martin was sworn in as Fall River Fire Chief. He replaces John Lynch who retired earlier last month.
St. Martin has been a member of the Fall River Fire Department for over 30 years and has served as interim chief since Lynch’s retirement.
Mayor Paul Coogan says St. Martin has the experience and reputation to serve in the role of chief.
Other promotions in the fire department were announced yesterday with the swearing-in of Ronald Sevigny as Deputy Chief, Michael Costa as District Chief, Daniel Medeiros as Captain, and Christopher Medeiros as Lieutenant.
