The MBTA is moving along on finishing the final details on SouthCoast Rail.
Project manager Jean Fox tells us all safety training is complete with service slated to begin this spring.
The MBTA has set the fare to ride to and from Boston on weekdays at $12.25 one way with a reduced rate of $6.00. Weekend rides are currently at a flat rate of $10.00 for unlimited rides.
The exact schedule of service has yet to be finalized.
Ms. Fox says the MBTA is constantly looking to devise a service to benefit riders. For SouthCoast Rail, that will include a shuttle service for travelers heading home from Boston.
