Summer fun continues at the Fall River Public Library on North Main Street starting today, July 1st. From now until 9:00 pm, Children’s Librarian Dave Mello will be collecting empty water jugs to be used to build a life-size rocket that children can play inside after construction is completed tonight.
Mello is urging residents to drop off clean, empty one-gallon water bottles for this event. Please note: Milk or juice containers will not be accepted. The space rocket building project is designed to kick off the library’s annual Summer Reading Program, which officially begins July 9th.
