As of 3:00 p.m. November 3rd, nine thousand 167 people voted in the final election. That’s 19% of all registered voters in the city, according to Liz Camara, who has checked in with all the 27 precincts throughout the day.
“The number I quoted is less one precinct which did not have its total votes ready when I checked,” Ms. Camara says.
At the end of the night at the preliminary election, about 22% of voters turnout out.
“Since there has been a steady number of voters coming out in this mild weather, we may get over a 30 percent voter turnout,” Ms. Camara says, adding that there have been no problems reported at the polls, which close at 8:00 p.m.
