About a foot of snow is expected to fall in the Greater Fall River area on Thursday, January 4th, 2018 – the first snowfall of the New Year. In preparation, the City of Fall River has implemented a no parking ban effective 6:00 p.m. Wednesday night (1/3/18), which will remain in place until further notice.
The ban means that parking is allowed on the north side of city streets that run east and west, and the west side of all streets that run north and south. In most cases, this means no parking on the fire hydrant side.
Parking is available in the Flint Municipal Parking Lot on Pleasant Street and the municipal lot on Columbia Street.
In addition, all private and public schools in Fall River as well as all five Bristol College Campus locations will be closed.
