The city of Fall River boasts many historic houses, and The Preservation Society of Fall River will share its research about several of them in a new exhibit, “Seven Old Stories of Seven Old Homes,” coming to the Greater Fall River Art Association in February.

Funded in part by Mass Humanities, the state-based affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, the exhibit “will explore the past of some of the city’s most iconic homes,” according to the Preservation Society.  One of the homes is the Dr. Isaac Fiske house (above) at 263 Pine Street, recently acquired by the Society and known to have been a station on the Underground Railroad.

The exhibit will be open from February 1 to February 28 on Fridays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. An opening reception will be held at 6:00 p.m. on February 1.  The Art Association is located at 84 Belmont Street.
