Mayor Jasiel Correia has announced that the Fall River Superintendent Search Committee has been finalized. The first meeting, on a date yet to be determined, will be open to the public. and will serve as an orientation meeting for the members.

The Search Committee will review resumes and interview candidates for the job of Superintendent of Schools and then forward their recommendations to the Fall River School Committee. Mayor Correia plans to allow the committee members to make their recommendations entirely on their own. It’s a great committee full of talented, public-minded people and I’d like to thank them publicly for their service. I’m looking forward to the process.”
Meanwhile the School Committee Finance Subcommittee plans to meet later today, April 26th to discuss possible budget cuts as they continue to draft their budget for Fiscal Year 2016-2017.
