The Fall River School Committee has hired a firm to help conduct a search for a new school superintendent. According to Committee member Melissa Panchley-Karam, the company called the Massachusetts Association of School Committees will have a search committee in place by April 4th with a hiring date set expected by June 20th.
“A lot has to happen between now and then, though,” Panchley-Karam says. “We hired the firm so we can have the best pool of candidates possible, so we still have to go through resumes.”
Current School Superintendent Meg Mayo-Brown is leaving that position at the end of the fiscal year on June 3oth to take an equivalent post in the Barnstable school system.
