The Fall River School Committee gave a thumbs up to the mayor’s proposed $141 million dollar FY 2018 operating budget for the school department. The vote to approve the package came with no debate at the committee’s meeting May 23rd at Kuss Middle School. The spending plan is one percent over the state’s net school spending requirement, and also includes about 86 thousand dollars for direct student educational services. The budget now goes before the city council for approval.
