The Fall River School Committee last night voted to hold a special meeting within 15 days to discuss the future of Superintendent Dr. Tracey Curley.
Vice Chair Kevin Aguiar called for the meeting, referencing a provision in the superintendent’s contract that allows the committee to terminate her employment without cause.
Aguiar, along with committee members Colin Dias, Emanuel Moniz, Ana Riley, and Shanell Stewart, voted in favor of calling for the special meeting. Mayor Paul Coogan and committee member Tom Khoury voted no.
At the meeting, the mayor said the move is unwarranted.
A date for the special meeting has not been set.
