School Committee Member Talks Budget Negotiations

Budget negotiations for the School Department continues this month with a public hearing scheduled for May 23rd. That from School Committee Member Gabriel Andrade who sat down with Frcmedianews.org to talk about the proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2017 that has already been slashed by 3 percent. Most of the cuts come in the form of layoffs, and the deletion of the extended day program for some educational institutions.
