The Fall River School Committee will meet in regular session later today, April 11th. A full agenda meets members, including expected discussions of Open Meeting law violations dating back to the Sutter Administration. Discussion on strategy with respective collective bargaining with paraprofessionals, and the Fall River Public School Government Programs Clerks and Fall River Educator’s Association – (teachers).
There will be a limited time for a citizens input period, and the regular school superintendent’s report, as well as discussion on submitted travel requests.
On the lighter side, Recognition Awards will be presented to several educators including French Teacher at B.M.C Durfee High School Amanda Pierce nominated by student Jahnya Mohamed; Master (Wonsam) Lee, nominated by District Coordinator of Health Physical Education Brad Bustin; and finally World Language Teacher at Matthew Kuss Middle School Shannon Rae Sullivan nominated by Guidance Counselor Cathy Montle.
The meeting will take place beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Kuss Middle School at 52 Globe Mills Avenue. The public is invited to attend, although the committee may go into executive session.
