The Fall River Historical Society has rescheduled The Nightlife Orchestra Saturday Evening Serenade event to September 10th. The orchestra was scheduled to perform over the weekend, but the event was called off due to potential rain.
The 13-piece big band has a female vocalist, and was the first orchestra to perform in the gardens of the Historical Society at the corner of Rock and Maple Streets when the idea to hold the evening serenades was born three years ago.
Assistant Curator Dennis Binette says that the event is free and open to the public. Area residents are asked to bring chairs or blankets since the orchestra will perform outdoors beginning at 6:00 p.m.
