The Sam’s Club located at the crossroads at the Route 24 Plaza on Brayton Avenue in Fall River is closing it’s doors, effective February 5th.

According to National Spokesman Bill Durling, the Discount warehouse that requires a $45 dollar annual membership fee to shop there, can not incur enough profit to retain its customer base.

Durling says it was a tough, but necessary decision to close four Sam’s Club’s across the country, three regionally: Fall River, Seekonk, and Warwick, Rhode Island.

The Wal-Mart Corporation owns the Sam’s Club chain. The one on Brayton Avenue was initially opened on October 24th, 2013.
