In 1692, approximately 168 men and women in Salem, Massachusetts, were accused of practicing witchcraft.  They were tried at the world-famous Salem witch trials, and 20 were executed.

On Tuesday, October 2, Fall River Public Library is offering community members a chance to take part in a mock trial of one of the accused witches, Susannah Martin, and watch dramatizations of other true Salem witch stories.

“Salem Witch Hysteria” will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the library’s Meeting Room at 104 North Main Street in Fall River.  For more information, email lverville@sailsinc.org.
