Milliken Boulevard is currently under construction to better accommodate traffic flow during the ongoing Route 79 interchange improvement project. Heavy construction equipment is in and out of the area across from Spring and Anawan Streets as seen in the feature slider. Traffic on the Blvd. has not been affected by the upheaval, at least at this point.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation is expected to complete the Route 79 project in about three years at a total cost of $197 million dollars.
