Mass Department of Transportation officials gave support for the expansion of Fall River’s Route 79 project. State officials met this week with Mayor Jasiel Correia II and other local state and city officials to give a thumbs up to the so called Route 79/Davol Street Corridor Plan which has made Mass Dot’s $14.3 billion dollar five-year capital investment program list. According to Executive Director of the Fall River Economic Development Office Ken Fiola, the ramp in question is the one that when taken to ground level will open up the city’s waterfront area:
