The last day for companies to submit proposals to help the school committee in its process of hiring a new school superintendent is today, Tuesday, February 23rd.
Recently, the school committee voted to hire a private firm to help them weed through resumes in order for the most qualified candidate to be hired to take the place of out-going School Superintendent Meg Mayo-Brown.
Meanwhile…The School Committee’s Ad Hoc subcommittee is also scheduled to meet at 3:15 p.m. in executive session this afternoon at the Spencer Borden Elementary School Community Room at 1400 President Avenue. The purpose: To discuss all relevant matters pertaining to the hiring of a new superintendent. The position will be available beginning July 1st, which is the start of the new fiscal year.
