A 25 year old Fall River man will serve five to seven years on drug distribution and illegal firearm charges after submitting an ‘ungreed plea’ before Judge Rafi Yessayan in Fall River Superior Court earlier this month. That from the Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn’s office.

Shawn Rose is charged with possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin, Illegal Possession of a Firearm, and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. Quinn thought the sentence should have been harsher.

“This is a repeat felon, who is found to be dealing heroin while possessing an illegal firearm. His record, in my view, warranted a longer period of incarceration in this case,” Quinn said. “These are the types of defendants who continue to wreak havoc in our communities and must be punished accordingly.”

Rose had been previously sentenced in another case on charges of Armed Robbery and Armed Assault to Rob. He was sentenced to serve three (3) years in State prison for those charges.
