School is almost out for the summer and applications for children to attend Camp Welch this year are still available. The 165 acre camp is located in Freetown, and operated through the Fall River Boys & Girl’s Club. With 165 acres of wooded property complete with fields and swimming pools, Camp Welch is the Club’s sole program site during the summer months. The camp provides a safe environment for city children who may otherwise be left unsupervised when school lets out in June.
Activities include, basketball, soccer, baseball, hockey, arts and crafts, hiking and fitness. The camp is open every weekday and is a major part of the Boys & Girls Club operation and mission at an affordable price.
Applications can be picked up tomorrow Saturday, May 6th between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at 802 Bedford Street. For other dates and times of application pick up interested residents can call the club at (508) 672-6340.
