The Alliance to Save the Quequechan Rail Trail has announced plans for a Rock & Roll Party Night to be held on Friday, November 16, at 6:30 p.m. Proceeds will support the Alliance’s campaign to prevent the construction of a private road across the trail.
The fundraiser will include food, music, and dancing and will take place at The Liberal Club at 20 Star Street in Fall River. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased by calling 508-673-2939.
The Rail Trail was one of five finalists in a recent international competition honoring open spaces that play a significant role in promoting healthy communities. Forbes magazine has reported that the trail has been responsible for a 66% increase in walking and biking in Fall River.
