A Quequechan River Festival will be held at Britland Park on Wordell Street in Fall River from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 30.
The free event will include live music, arts and crafts, and entertainment including fishing lessons, fun with animals, a magic show, games, giant bubbles and puppets, hula hoops, and face painting. A bike parade with a police escort will kick off at 12:30 p.m. along the Quequechan River Rail Trail. Helmets are required for ages 18 and under.
The festival is funded in part by a grant from the Fall River Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Sponsors include the Friends of the Quequechan River Rail Trail, BankFive, Creative Arts Network, Fall River Bike Committee, Truesdale Health Foundation, Mass in Motion, and the Flint and Niagara Neighborhood Associations.
My daughter is Miss Quequechan Outstanding Teen. She would love to volunteer at the Quequechan River Festival and Bike Parade. It sounds like fun creative event. Please email to let us know if it would be OK to volunteer. Thank you
Please contact Al Lima at ajlima@comcast.net. He is looking for volunteers for the festival. Thank you.
