The city of Fall River plans to hold a Shore Line Cleanup of the Quequechan River on Saturday, May 7th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Volunteers are being asked to meet at Britland Park at the intersection of 17th and Pleasant Street, or use Wordell St. Parking lot off Plymouth Avenue.
According to Julie Kelly from Mass for Motion, a non-profit organization that encourages healthy living, volunteers are being asked to dress for heavy work because removing tires and trash from the river shoreline will be the majority of work.
Volunteers are also being asked to sign up through the city’s website if possible, where they asked to fill out a survey.
