A possibility to connect commuter rail service through a Middleboro/Fall River connection was discussed at a public hearing at Bristol Community College this week. The event was sponsored by Massachusetts Department of Public Transportation officials. The hearing is one of six in the SouthCoast to gauge interest in the possibility of nixing a Middleboro/Stoughton connection in favor of the Fall River route which will also benefit New Bedford.
