An open meeting will be held next Wednesday, May 3rd to lay out the progress and plans for a new Durfee High School to the general public. The session will be held at the school’s auditorium at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome.
School Superintendent Matthew Malone, and representatives from the architectural firm Ai3 will be on hand to discuss details about the progress to date. Ai3 is working on a new design and will outline preliminary plans to date.
According to the City’s Director of Buildings & Grounds Ken Pacheco, the Building Committee, made up of students, faculty, administrators, and community leaders have been meeting on a regular basis. Talk centers around the best location and layout of the new multimillion structure, which is much needed to replace the current archaic building.
