Fall River residents who have prescription drugs, or over the counter medication that need to be thrown away, can dispose of them safely this Saturday, April 29th. That day has been deemed Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Sponsored by the City of Fall River; Drug Enforcement Agency; The Bold Coalition, and SSTAR, the program is designed to get people to properly dispose of what are considered hazardous material. The purpose is to keep people from flushing the unwanted medicines in the garbage or down the toilet, thus possibly affecting the city’s water supply.

Residents who would like to participate in the program can do so between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. at Blessed Trinity Church located at 1340 Plymouth Avenue. No matter what medications are being disposed of, especially controlled substances, there will be no questions asked.
