Bristol Community College closed at approximately 10:30 a.m. this morning after a massive thunderstorm cut power to the campus.
The power outage resulted in no computer usage, or air conditioning, and of course, no technical equipment for instructors to use.
The result: Professors let the students go for the day, among them them Sean Kenyon (Driver) and his passenger Jared Neville.
Because the power outage was unexpected, Sean & Jared had no real plans for the day; however, they both said they were relieved for a day off especially because its a now-sunny summer day.
Meanwhile, National Grid continued to work on restoring power throughout the day. The campus is expected to reopen at 4:00 p.m. this afternoon.
