Internships within the police department in Fall River are available for students wishing to get into law enforcement/criminal Justice/and or forensic computer science careers.

Internships are conducted a semester at a time. A minimum of 120 hours for credit are usually required. Applicants work with Fall River Police Department officials to establish hours convenient to both student and the college/university requirements.

Applicants should apply one semester prior to desired internship, so now is the time for the spring 2016 semester. Deadlines are close.

The Fall River Police Department can accommodate up to Two (2) interns per semester.

The internship program officials teach college students the many facets of municipal policing in a large department. The bulk of work consists of everyday writing, filing, reporting work, but there are some occasional interesting topics like forensic work, radar operation, photography, fingerprinting, working with domestic violence detectives, ride-a-longs, etc.
