Fall River Police today announced the arrest of a city man on charges of illegal drug distribution and possession.

On Monday, November 22, 2021, detectives assigned to the Vice Intelligence and Gang Unit along with agents from the United States Drug Enforcement Agency executed search warrants obtained as a result of an ongoing drug investigation involving 61-year-old city resident Jesus Manuel Sanchez Rosario.
Detectives were able to observe Mr. Sanchez Rosario engaged in what they believed was the distribution of illegal drugs. Upon encountering Mr. Sanchez Rosario, a search pursuant to a warrant was made of his vehicle where suspected drugs were found. Additionally, investigators possessed search warrants for Mr.
Sanchez Rosario’s apartment as well as his storage unit. Searches at both those locations resulted in the recovery of suspected illegal drugs, as well as a large quantity of money believed to be linked to the suspected drugs.
In total $64, 966.00 and a stun gun were seized along with the following suspected drugs: 10 lidocaine patches, 3.6 grams of crack cocaine, 652.5 grams of fentanyl pills.
Jesus Manuel Sanchez Rosario was charged with the following offenses:
1. Distribution of a class A drug
2. Trafficking in 200 grams or more of heroin/morphine/opium
3. Possession of a class B drug
4. Possession of a call E drug
5. Possession of a firearm without a FID card
6. Possession of a firearm while committing a felony
