Mayor Sam Sutter announced today that the annual Polar Plunge to benefit Forever Paws Animal Shelter will take place on Friday, New Year’s Day, January 1st. Each year the Polar Plunge is organized by City Councilor Pat Casey.
This year the event will take place at Sandy Beach in Fall River beginning at 10:00 a.m.
To raise funds for Forever Paws, a non-profit 501c non-profit animal shelter on Lynnwood Street, each Polar Plunge participant will have a sign-up sheet for individuals to sponsor their splash in the frigid Mt. Hope Bay water.
To obtain a sign-up sheet in order to participate, or to find out more information about the event, please contact Councilor Casey at (508)-320-9569.
