OneBook author Bill Bryson to do Skype Event with BCC on October 8th

BCC’s OneBook Committee is pleased to announce that world renowned, Bill Bryson, author of BCC’s 2015 OneBook selection “A Walk in the Woods” will be doing a virtual Q & A session on Thursday, October 8th from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Margaret L. Jackson Arts Center, at the BCC Fall River Campus, 777 Elsbree St.

This event will be Skyped to the BCC Attleboro Campus, New Bedford (The New Bedford Whaling Museum), and the BCC Taunton Center.
Mr. Bryson is an engaging speaker and will be answering questions for the BCC community about his book, “A Walk in the Woods,” from his home in the United Kingdom.

Bill Bryson’s celebrity status has skyrocketed with the release of his new book, “The Road to Little Dribbling,” as well as a major motion picture based on “A Walk in the Woods” starring Robert Redford and Nick Nolte.

As part of the annual BCC OneBook Project, Faculty, staff, and students come together across disciplines to read the same book and participate in a wide array of campus events related to that book. Classes across disciplines delve into the connections a story can make to us all and help link the College community through this common project.

This event is free and open to the public.
