Beginning on Monday, July 24, 2017, the main gate of the Oak Grove Cemetery (the Prospect Street entrance) will be closed until further notice. According to Mayor Jasiel Correia II the city is undertaking extensive repairs and restoration of the historic structure. These repairs are expected to continue for as long as three months. Access for all visitors will be available through the Oak Grove Avenue entrance, during regular visiting hours.
