The Fabric of Fall River, a classic presentation from the 1980s that showcases the city’s rich ethnic history, is now being shown at DCR Fall River Heritage State Park.

Originally created in the form of a 15-projector slide presentation in 1985, it was recently restored and made into a half-hour video by Steve Rys of Fall River Community Media.

The material includes hundreds of period images as well as the first-hand accounts of individuals who grew up or worked in Fall River in the twentieth century and commentary by local historian Philip T. Silvia Jr., PhD.

The Fabric of Fall River is shown daily at 11:00 a.m. in the park’s  Visitor Center Auditorium.  Admission is free.  Special group screenings are available upon request.  For more information, call 508-675-5759.
