Following Tuesday’s municipal election, there will be two new members of the Fall River City Council and three new members on the school committee.
Michael Canuel finished second in the city council race, garnering over 5,700 votes. He was surprised by the outcome and feels he was successful by taking part in old-fashioned door-to-door campaigning.
Christopher Peckham will return to the council after being away for four years. He says he is ready to work in promoting effective and efficient policies.
Shanell Stewart says she’s ready to advocate for her priorities and move the district forward.
Ana Riley and Emanuel Moniz are the other candidates elected to the school committee on Tuesday.
