Artist Douglas Rouse will sign his mural featuring a contemporary tattooed Lizzie Borden and discuss what inspired him to create it today at Stumpy’s Hatchet House in Fall River.
The venue, an indoor recreation facility dedicated to the sport of throwing hatchets at wooden targets, will host its grand opening tomorrow, June 1.
Rouse, a resident of Colorado Springs, is “an internationally-seasoned visual artist, specializing in murals, 3D interactive paintings, and speed painting,” says his web site. He has painted hundreds of residential and commercial murals.
Stumpy’s Hatchet House is located at 75 Ferry Street. The mural signing will take place from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. It is open to the public and admission is free, but attendees are asked to register here:
