Battleship Cove on Fall River’s Waterfront has a new executive director. John McDonagh was recently named to the post taking over for Brad King who is now the director of the America’s Fleet Foundation, which will be the fund-raising arm of the Battleship Cove Museum.
McDonagh took over this month at the Battleship Cove, replacing Brad King. King is now the director of the America’s Fleet Foundation, which will be the fund-raising arm of the Battleship Ship Cove Museum. He served in senior positions at the Smithsonian Institutions, the Detroit Institute of Arts, Georgetown University, and the Boston Foundation before signing on as the executive director of Plimoth Plantation. His last post was as the executive director of the Pilgrim Monument & Provincetown Museum.
